Kiwi Bunkhouse provides the opportunity to
become part of our experienced team working on our contracted
vineyards in Marlborough.
Work is available for 11 months of the year
with the peak time being from October to May and June to
September. The following is a breakdown of the different types
of work you will encounter during the growing season.
June to September (Pruning)
Grapevine pruning is a lengthy process which involves the
removal of last years unwanted canes and the selection of new
cane to be used for the upcoming growing season. We require
people to work as part of a team completing one of the 4 jobs to
complete this important vineyard function.
October to March (Growing Season)
Throughout the growing season we undertake a variety of
different vineyard jobs. This varies between new vineyard
developments to fully established vines. All work throughout the
growing season requires people to be fit and energetic who enjoy
working in hot weather.
April to May ( Harvesting)
The harvest
time is a very exciting time of the year where we see the
results of our hard work since pruning began in June. We work as
a large team hand picking the grapes which will then be made
into Premium Marlborough Wine.
